Phill Dunn shows his wonderful use of very fine detail mostly in watercolour. He brings to life our various breeds and unique New Zealand bird life. He creates in stunning detail the beautiful foliage these native birds live on.
He also specialises in personal animal portraits when he has spare time which is rare. His work has sold in many National Exhibitions now and slowly he is becoming a well respected and recognised artist.

Mediums - Watercolour and also beginning to work in oil.

Phill Dunn ( 40 ) is a full time logging contractor who paints for pleasure. He excels in fine brush detail and capturing moments in motion. He is also a family man with five children who dedicates his paintings to his wife Marge.

Originally from the Waikato, Phill now resides in Marlborough where much of his art work is inspired from the surrounding native forests where he is often working.

Phill`s forte is native scenes, animals and birds in watercolour. He also does commission work.

Phill`s works have been exhibited to great acclaim within the local and regional galleries in Marlborough. Then in 2004 two of his paintings sold at the annual art sale at Pukeora, Waipukurau, Central Hawkes Bay. This was really the starting point for Phill as an artist. Since then he sells regularly at Art Exhibitions, at the New Zealand Affordable Art Sale and privately.

His works have gained awards and commendations in competitions and exhibitions and in time he intends to have his own gallery, and then he is hoping to be able to become a full time artist.
